In the world of online slots, it’s not easy to create something new, which is why it’s so exciting when a developer finally does. Slot Vegas Megaquads is the newest slot from Big Time Gaming and the first to employ the Megaquads mechanic.
Megaquads features 4 sets of reels that are in play simultaneously. Yes, there’s a lot going on, but Big Time Gaming has managed to do it in a way that’s not too overwhelming. With a Las Vegas theme, the slot leaves an overall impression of glitz and glamour. Features include Symbol Multipliers, a Rainbow Wild Bonus, and Free Spins. With a maximum win of 45,000x the stake, Slot Vegas Megaquads is worth checking out.

That requires both time and substantial computing power, and pounding away on one’s laptop in front of a Pelican Pete is a good way to attract the attention of casino security. They give casino giants viability with consumers and a way to reach customers with advertisements. And customer acquisition is the name of the game for online betting right now. The big cash drain.
Slot Specs
Slot Vegas Megaquads features 4 sets of reels, each 4x4 in size. Bets range from $.20 to $20 per spin and the RTP is a solid 96.59%. Volatility is sky-high. Each reel set has 256 ways to win, but special features can make the number expand to the thousands.
Reel symbols include low-paying 9-A royals and high-paying green, blue, and red lucky 7s and a large purple diamond. There are 2 wilds in this game — a standard one that lands on reels 2, 3, and 4, and a Rainbow Wild that lands on reels 2 and 3.
Features
On the left-hand side of the reels, there is a symbol counter. It keeps track of Symbol Multipliers, a central component of the game. Whenever 4 high-paying symbols land, the multiplier for that symbol increases by 1. These Symbol Multipliers are applied to all corresponding wins.
If a Rainbow Wild appears side by side on 2 reel sets, the Rainbow Wild Bonus is triggered. In addition to a great soundtrack (Somewhere Over the Rainbow), the 2 reel sets merge into one larger 8-reel grid. This expands the paylines to 65,536 ways to win. Additionally, a regular wild is added randomly and Symbol Multipliers are still in play during this round.
When 4 or more scatters land on the reels, the Free Spins round is triggered and players are awarded at least 6 free spins. Before the free spins start, all Symbol Multipliers are collected and added together to create one big Free Spins Win Multiplier. This means that it's actually more worthwhile to trigger this round later on in the game when the multiplier has had a chance to grow. When the free spins start, they are played on 2 large 4x8 grids. Each grid has 4,096 win ways.
When 4 diamonds or lucky 7s land, the multiplier increases by 1. If 4 or more scatters land again, the Free Spins round is retriggered. If Rainbow Wilds land on both sets of reels simultaneously, the reels merge and expand to a staggering 16,777,216 ways to win.
Bottom Line
Big Time Gaming has taken a leap to create something new and exciting, and Megaquads does not disappoint. It’s the perfect mechanic for players who love non-stop action and big win potential. Slot Vegas Megaquads has its own unique shine, with a soundtrack that players will recognize and love and 3 major features that can drive wins up. With a maximum win potential of 45,000x the stake, Slot Vegas Megaquads will undoubtedly become one of Big Time Gaming’s more popular titles. It can be played at Big Time Gaming casinos, online and on mobile.

The Big Easy Casino, formerly known as Mardi Gras Casino and Hollywood Greyhound Track, is a casino and formerly a greyhound racing facility located in Hallandale Beach, in the U.S. state of Florida. The casino features over 900 slot machines, virtual table games, free to enter poker tournaments, and nightly entertainment.[1]
History[edit]
What is now the Big Easy Casino opened as the Hollywood Kennel Club on December 1, 1934, three years after Florida legalized parimutuel betting.[2] A grandstand was added in 1940. In 1974, the facility was reopened as Hollywood Greyhound Track.[3]
A November 2004 statewide referendum allowed Broward County voters to decide whether to allow slot machines at parimutuel facilities located in the county.[4] Broward County voters subsequently approved the use of slots at Hollywood Greyhound and other parimutuels.
An extensive renovation project in 2006 added approximately 1,100 slot machines and a poker room to the dog track, which was renamed Mardi Gras Casino.[5] Two years later, an additional 200 slot machines were added and, in 2009, the Big Easy Poker Room was relocated and expanded. Also included in the renovated facility were a flea market, several restaurants/bars, and a gift shop.[6]
In 2015, the casino made further improvements, which included widening the aisles and opening up Louie's Lounge to the entire casino floor.[7]
In 2017, the facility was closed for two months because of damage from Hurricane Irma.[8]
In 2018, Jeffrey Soffer, owner of the Fontainebleau Hotel, purchased the Mardi Gras Casino from Hartman & Tyner, and renamed it as the Big Easy Casino.[9][10][11]
Casino[edit]
The casino offers over 70,000 square feet of gaming space, including over 900 slot machines,[12] virtual roulette and blackjack,[13] as well as The Dog Pound, Mardi Gras’ smoker-friendly slot area; simulcast and greyhound racing.
The Big Easy Poker Room, offers over 30 tables of Texas Hold 'em, 7 Card Stud, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo. The casino offers low and high limit tables in an effort to accommodate beginner and experienced players.
There are also nightly, free to enter poker tournaments[14] that can be entered and tracked through the Bravo Poker Mobile App.
Krewe Club[edit]
The Krewe Club is the casino's membership program. Anyone over 21 can become a Krewe Club member, and will receive $25 bonus play when signing up. The Krewe Club is a tiered membership program that includes purple, gold, black, and platinum levels. As club members play in the casino, they earn points that enable them to move up from purple, to gold, to black, and eventually to the invitation only platinum card. Each level gives the card-holder more exclusive benefits, ranging from free valet service to complementary tickets to on-site concerts and events.
Greyhound Racing[edit]
Despite improvements and enhancements over the years, the dog track itself remained relatively the same over the course of its use. Track specifics included:
- Track Length: 1,372 Feet
- Track Width: 22 Feet
- Length of Stretch: 300 Feet
- Composition: Sand and Marl
- Timing: Hundredth of a Second
- Courses: 550 Yards, 660 Yards and 770 Yards
The last day of racing was held on May 5, 2018. The casino, which is a supporter of the Adopt-A-Greyhound program, still offers simulcast greyhound racing, harness and thoroughbred racing from tracks across the United States and Canada.
Notable Races[edit]
The track is home to four stakes races:
- Mardi Gras Futurity.
- $75,000 Mardi Gras World Classic.
- $10,000 Joe Ryan Jr. Memorial.
